Engage

When God first created mankind His intention was not to offer us salvation – it was to interact and have fellowship with us.
Engage is for women who desire to seek God’s face and intercede for the body of Christ. Our aim is to interact with Him and connect with all women who desire to be part of seeing His kingdom established through prayer.
We believe that through a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ we can agree with God’s will and pray that His kingdom will come and His will be done.
We believe that prayer is a God given privilege and responsibility that God ordained and which He delights in. God has promised to respond to prayer. “and this is the confidence which we have before him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14). Sometimes we don’t know how to pray according to God’s will but desire it earnestly. It is then that “the spirit of God intercedes for us according to the will of God” Romans 8:27).
This year we are standing together as prayer warriors to pray for the things in this world which breaks God’s heart. We want to do battle for the people affected and caught up in the social injustices of our world. Hand in hand with this we also aim to pray diligently for those who do not yet believe.
Once a month on a Thursday evening at 7:30 we gather in the upper hall to join hands in prayer and worship. Each month will have a definite prayer focus and we welcome all women to participate in this call to pray.

John Piper commented on how our prayers are a gift from the one “who works in us that which is pleasing in his sight” (Hebrews 13:21). How grateful we should be that He has chosen us to be employed in His high service.
How eager we should be to spend much time in prayer! Please join us. If you need any further information, contact the church office.
