Grant Gehrke

Grant Gehrke Grant’s been attending KBC since 1984, causing havoc throughout the youth ministry, before becoming a vital member of the leadership team within the youth. He is passionate about empowering youth to come to a position where they see their full potential in Christ and the freedom that that brings.

Before venturing into the big wide world of ministry, Grant had been involved in Christian outdoor education, which enabled him to utilise outdoor adventure to minister to youth in a unique and memorable experience. More recently he completed a Diploma of Christian Ministry as an Intern through the KBC Ministry Training Centre. He’s married to Kelly and has a 1 gorgeous girl, Isabel, born July ‘06.

Grant loves life but there are a few small luxuries that stand out, just to name a few: Snow skiing, golf, mountain biking, fishing (basically, the outdoors), Krispy Kreme donuts, Indian, Thai, Turkish food (you guessed it, he loves food). A few menial facts about him: People He’d love to meet: Tenzing Norgay, Nelson Mandela, Michael Jordan, Adam Sandler. Top 3 movies of all time: Princess Bride, So I Married An Axe-Murderer, The Man From Snowy River. Favourite books: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Power Of One, The Heavenly Man.

Grant also loves to travel (he remembers places he visits by the food he eats) and would love to one day be involved in cross-cultural missions, to include a stint overseas.
